SPARKS, NV – The top team from Gardnerville, NV, Taylormade, won the championship again; this time at the ASA Nevada State tournament on July 7-8 in Sparks, NV.

Taylormade did have tough competition against the “D” division team BFC. While both teams were only at one loss in the tournament, Taylormade won the title against BFC in an “if” game.

The championship game was an eye-sore for Taylormade as they hardly scored any runs against the determined BFC team. After not scoring for three innings in a row, Taylormade was ecstatic when they finally scored one in the fifth and two in the seventh. But their 4-11 loss wasn’t anything to brag about as they went into the “if” game determined to prove their ability. After a 14-8 win, Taylormade grasped the championship title and named Eli Bently as their MVP.

BFC ended the tournament 5-2, naming Richie Moczkowski as their MVP. Turbulence and ATG tied for third place.
The men’s “E” division wasn’t as competitive as Gametime, from Las Vegas, grabbed the championship in only five innings. Gametime won the championship game 17-5 against the tired, Criminal Lineup, from Sparks, NV. Tanel 360 from Fallon, NV came in third place in the tournament and Frozen Rope from Carson City, NV took fourth place.

Gametime named Luke Stajcar as the MVP and Richie Diaz was Criminal Lineup’s MVP.

The co-ed division saw a fairly aggressive tournament. But in the end, Red Eye came out the champions against Heated, 18-12.

The Tribe from Yerrington, NV took third place and Double Dee from Fallon, NV came in fourth place.
