The Amateur Softball Association has announced the 2008 Bound 4 Beijing Tour schedule. The 2008 Softball Women’s National Team will be competing in over 40 cities to prepare for the Beijing Olympics. Starting February 9, the Bound 4 Beijing Tour will play their first game against the University of Arizona Wildcats.
Also as part of their tour, the women’s team will make two stops in Oklahoma City at the ASA Hall of Fame Complex on March 24 and again on June 6. The final game will be in Irvine, CA on July 26 giving the team plenty of time to depart for Beijing on August 4th.
At the 2008 Olympic Games, the women’s softball team will be defending their three previous gold-medals in hopes of winning a fourth.
The Olympic Games competition will begin on August 12th.
Over 20 hours of softball will be shown on the ESPN family of networks including six consecutive weekly national games on ESPN 2 in April and May. The complete listing of 2008 Bound 4 Beijing Schedule is below:
